Wanna become an Anahaw Records Producer?

We appreciate every lo-fi artist who willingly joined our record label and allowed us to have a percentage of a track's revenue to be used as our income to plant trees. We wholeheartedly promise that no earnings will be used for our own personal expenses.

Music Producer Requirements

Anahaw Records is open for everyone, regardless of fame, numbers, and experience. As long as you're willing to be a part of our mission, we very much welcome you.

Producers must have the following:

  • RouteNote account (we're using RouteNote as our distributor).

  • A PayPal email address (used by RouteNote to receive splits).

  • A Discord account.

  • An Instagram account

Other information like your artist profile image, social media handles, and biography will be needed once you're signed.

Although submissions are free, we are strict when it comes to selection of demos. Please feel free to listen to our previous releases or the Reference Tracks playlist for reference.

Uniform

To achieve our own signature music, art style, and unique brand, Anahaw Records is very strict when it comes to picking the right artist and content to release.

NAMING EP AND TRACK TITLES
Each word must have its first letter capitalized (except prepositions and articles). You can use any word, but you can't use explicit/NSFW words. Bonus if you use nature-related words.

GENRES
We highly accept:
Lo-fi beats, Downtempo, Chill-hop, Chillwave, and Jazz beats.

We are okay with:
Chill trap, Experimental Jazz.

We do not accept:
Trap, EDM, House music, and any other genres.

THEME OF THE INSTRUMENTAL

We need beats that aren't distracting enough to hear in the background. So, ambient, calm, and easy to listen tracks have a better chance of getting picked. Bonus if you use background ambience like birds chirping, leaves rustling, cars, rain, ocean waves, or seagulls.

Release Guidelines

Demos must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be Lo-fi (of course).

  • Must be unreleased (tracks presented must be finished).

  • Must be pure instrumental (no lyrical vocals).

  • Must be mastered.

  • Must be MP3 or FLAC*.

  • Must be an EP of 4-5 tracks (we do not accept singles and albums)**.

  • Must be in a Google Drive link.

To submit a demo:

  • Click the button at the bottom of the page to open the submission form.

  • Include all tracks in a Drive folder. Make sure we got access to the folder.

*Tracks must be MP3 or FLAC:

  • For MP3 files: 320 kbps and 44.1kHz

  • For FLAC files: 44.1kHz

All tracks must have the same file format.
**Tracks must be 2-4 minutes long.

Use this exact format when naming the folder and the audio files:

  • Folder name: [ARTIST(S)] - [EP NAME]

Track file names:

  • TRACK #01 - [TRACK TITLE]

  • TRACK #02 - [TRACK TITLE]

  • TRACK #03 - [TRACK TITLE]

  • TRACK #04 - [TRACK TITLE]

  • TRACK #05 - [TRACK TITLE]

Leave the 5th track blank if not applicable.

Extra things to consider:

  • We will listen to your release within 20 days after you submitted it. If you didn't received an email from us within 20 days, that means it has been rejected. Feel free to submit another project.

  • Once a demo is approved, we will be sending a private form to the artist for the signing. This only applies to new artists.

  • Please don't submit the same project twice.

  • We do not accept remixes and VIP edits.

  • Please double check any misspellings on some of the file names. Correcting any mistakes left on the file names isn't our responsibility.

  • If the demo didn't meet the requirements, it'll be rejected instantly.

Standard Splits

We freely let our artists decide how much percentage they wanted to receive, and how much percentage of the revenue will go straight to Anahaw Records. The choices is according to our recommendations. Choosing a split greater than 50% isn't mandatory.

Artist% - Record Label%

  • 50% - 50% (Default, and recommended)

  • 40% - 60%

  • 30% - 70%

  • 20% - 80%

  • 0% - 100% (The Anahaw's cut, not available to anyone)

The split will be decided by the producers. The first half of the revenue will be given to the artist. It'll be divided equally if a release consists of more than one artist.

The other half of the revenue goes straight to Anahaw Records. The earnings will be used to buy seedlings, and payment for transportation. The earnings will also be used to pay commissions for our graphic artists, and our distribution annual fee. We ensure that no money will be spent for personal reasons.
